Our mission is to create a welcoming space where individuals can reconnect with their bodies and their breath in order to regulate and balance the nervous system and cultivate personal fitness for all aspects of their lives. We strive to foster a sense of community of wellness-oriented individuals who come together to support one another. RESTORE AND REPAIR YOUR BODY

Restorative Yoga

A deeply relaxing practice using props to support the body and encourage full relaxation.

Guided Meditation

A calming experience designed to quiet the mind and bring clarity through visualization and breath awareness.

Sound Baths

 Immerse yourself in the healing vibrations of crystal bowls, gongs, and other instruments to restore balance.

Guided Meditative Wyld Walks

Mindful walking and movement in the beauty of the Carson Basin, blending nature and meditation.

Drum Circles

Explore the sensory experience of drumming and sound with Rosalyn Mendez. Drum cricles are held 2-3 times a month.

Reiki & Energy Healing

–Explore holistic wellness through energy work, sound healing, and other offerings. First Thursdays of every month at 6:45pm.

Park and Beach Yoga

Come play outside with us at one of our outdoor yoga offerings.

What is a yoga practice?

What happens when you step on your mat at Grassroots?  You are led through an experience with your body where  our skilled and knowledgable team members will  prompt you to move and breathe with intention. Our certified yoga and meditation teachers are trained in a variety of modalities and bring a deep well of knowledge to every class they lead. Rest assured: this is a place for every BODY to practice, regardless of age, current state of physical health, or body type.  When you check out our schedule, you will find a variety of classes to meet individual needs of both exercise and restorative practices.

Grassroots Yoga Center came into our care through a shared calling to serve this community in a deeper way. As lifelong educators, Brigette and I have always believed in the power of learning—not just in classrooms, but in the way we move, breathe, and connect to ourselves and each other. When the opportunity arose to steward this beautiful studio, it felt like a natural extension of our path as teachers.

Together, we’ve blended our backgrounds in education, mindfulness, and yoga to create a space where everyone—no matter their experience—can feel supported, curious, and empowered. Grassroots isn’t just about yoga; it’s about cultivating growth from the ground up, nurturing a community that values self-awareness, resilience, and joy. Our mission is simple: to meet people where they are and offer tools for living well, both on and off the mat.
